Philippines keen to develop LNG industry
The Philippines have considerable natural gas reserves. So in an effort to develop the natural gas industry, the country’s Department of Energy has enlisted MAN Energy Solutions to conduct a feasibility studay to outline the necessary infrastructure needed to mature the industry.
Wayne Jones OBE, Chief Sales Officer at MAN Energy Solutions, signed a memorandum of understanding with Dept. of Energy Sec. Alfonso G. Cusi last month to finalize the study’s details and scope.
“Our vast experience with natural gas storage, compression and transmission means that we can provide the Department of Energy in the Philippines with the technical information needed to make the industry grow in an economical way,” said Wayne Jones.
The study will focus on the development of small- to medium-scale liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and the final report will be made available to the public.
